Programs for Everyone!

Discussion Groups

We meet twice each month to discuss Buddhist topics and texts. While our guiding teacher, Barry PSN, moderates the discussion, participants contribute freely. 2nd and 4th Wednesdays, 7 p.m., Central School Project, 43 Howell Avenue, in Old Bisbee; we gather in the first basement studio to the left of the stairs.

Barry PSN offers private interviews every month. Interviews provide an opportunity to meet privately with a Zen teacher and also to begin kong-an practice (a traditional Zen training method). 2nd and 4th Saturday afternoons of the month, by appointment. If you practice at the Zen center, you can register by sending an email.

We celebrate two traditional Buddhist holidays, Buddha's Birthday and Buddha's Enlightenment Day, with ceremonies. The birthday ceremony is in early April and the enlightenment ceremony in early December.

Sunday, December 8, 2019, 9 a.m., Buddha's Enlightenment Day Ceremony, Room to Move Studio
Sunday, April 5, 2020, 9 a.m., Buddha's Birthday Ceremony, Room to Move Studio

Dharma Talks

From time to time, Barry PSN offers public dharma talks. These provide an opportunity to learn more about Buddhist teaching and ask questions about practice and everyday life. See this page for upcoming talks.

Occasionally, Barry PSN will offer workshops on Buddhist art and iconography, selected texts, or other topics. See this page for upcoming workshops.

Barry PSN is available for public talks or other activities in the Cochise County community. Send an email to learn more.

All events are offered at no charge; we welcome donations to support these programs.
